The African American Museum of Iowa invites you to attend From Jonkonnu to Kwanzaa: Exploring Black Holiday Celebrations as part of Deck the District in the Czech Village – New Bohemia Main Street District. Join us December 1st from 10 am – 4 pm for free cocoa and cookies, free Kwanzaa and Jonkonnu tabletop activities, and a guest appearance from Mrs. Claus. The gallery, hosting Endless Possibilities and Driven By Hope, will be available at the AAMI’s regular admission rates and a special collection of Black Santa memorabilia will also be on display.
