Join the AAMI for our brand-new book club, Book Club 802. This month we will be reading Never Caught: The Washingtons’ Relentless Pursuit of Their Runaway Slave, Ona Judge by Erica Armstrong Dunbar. We’ll be meeting to discuss the book on March 5 from 6:30 – 7:30PM at Dragonfly Books in Decorah.

Why Book Club 802? The club draws its name from House File 802, legislation which bans Iowa governmental entities — including K-12 schools — and public colleges from teaching “divisive concepts.” As a non-governmental entity, we can continue to talk about race, racism and systemic oppression, and we invite everyone to join us in the conversation.
