Calendar of Events

The AAMI is partnering with the Cedar Rapids Public Library and WIN (Women in the NAACP) for a program and book giveaway, sponsored by Target. The planned program, “Rainbow of Faces,” includes reading The Colors of Us by Karen Katz, discussing diversity, creating a self-portrait, and learning to say “hello” in different languages. This event will take place in the children’s programming room in the downtown branch of the Cedar Rapids Public Library. AAMI’s free exhibit, Suspended: Systemic Oppression in Our Schools is on display in the Third Floor Gallery.
