From Jonkonnu to Kwanzaa: Exploring Black Holiday Traditions

December 2, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us December 2nd at the Museum to celebrate the holidays! We will have craft tables for everyone to learn about four holiday celebrations and their connection to the African American community. These holiday celebrations include Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Jonkonnu.

Items representing these holiday traditions will be on display in our lobby exhibit cases until 1/2/2018.

There will also be a special appearance by Mrs. Clause! She will be here to read stories and greet families and visitors from 11am-1pm.
Story time starts at 11am and again at 12pm.

Admission is free and light refreshments will be served!
