Empowering BIPOC Women to Serve in the Community

The half-day seminar is designed to empower BIPOC women to serve on City, nonprofit, and corporate boards and commissions. The seminar co-hosted by the Cedar Rapids WIN NAACP and the African American Museum of Iowa. It features a keynote address by Abena Sankofa Imhotep of the Sankofa Literary Empowerment Group, remarks from Cedar Rapids Mayor Brad Hart, and Angelica Vannatta with the United Way East Central Iowa BOLD Program. The event is sponsored by Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust and is open to BIPOC women in the Corridor. Registration is required by October 11. Boxed lunch will be provided for registered attendees.
