Visit the Museum

The Museum is currently closed as it recovers from the damage sustained in the flood of 2008. The Museum hopes to reopen sometime this fall. Please check back for reopening dates. But you don't have to wait until it reopens to experience the Museum's programs. See the calendar of events for current program information or contact Education Director Erin Thomas at education@blackiowa.org to schedule a program for your group.

Adults $4.00
Children/Youth/Students $2.50
If your group has 15 people or more, find out how to receive a group discount!

Guided Tours:
Groups of 10 or more may make reservations for a guided tour by contacting Education Director Erin Thomas at (319) 862-2101 Ext. 22 or by email at education@blackiowa.org. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange guided tours.

Self-guided Tours:
Groups of all sizes are welcome to visit the gallery for self-guided tours at any time, but we recommend calling ahead to ensure space in the gallery.

Coming from I-380 S.—

Take the WILSON AVE SW exit- EXIT 18.
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto 3RD ST SW.
Turn RIGHT onto 16TH AVE SW.
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto 12TH AVE SW.

Take the 1ST ST E exit- EXIT 20A- toward US-151 BUSINESS / IA-94 / DOWNTOWN.
Turn LEFT onto 1ST ST NE.
Turn LEFT onto 8TH AVE SE.
Turn RIGHT onto 2ND ST SE.
